Thanks a million.......................................

Hi Rodney,

After taking your class the last two days made me wonder how we sold any jobs in the past. I guess even the blind pigs find acorns sometimes. I have decided to hire a training manager to implement and practice, practice, practice, the things we have learned. Change is hard, but losing money is even harder and we are no longer going to be a discount roofer. Tomorrow we will start to make the arrangements necessary to make our reference list so we can increase our close rate immediately. Just some food for thought, we gave a $100,000.00 away in yard sign discounts last year we closed as a company 20% of our Leeds which our margins are approximately 33% the average job is $10,000 so we would need to generate an additional $333,333 dollars in sales to make up the $100,000 in lost profit we would have to run another 150 Leeds close 30 more deals. If we implement your system we would raise our profit margin by a min 10% close an additional 40% of our deals. Last year we ran 1650 Leeds and closed 330 for $3.3 million in sales and 1 million in gross profit. If we would have implemented your system last year we would have closed 990 deals for $9.9 mil $3.96 mil in gross profit. (Hold on I think I’m going to get sick). Ok like you said we have absolutely nothing to lose by trying this system. But look at what we have to gain. Tripling our sales and not spending one more dime on advertising.  With an additional 2 mil in profit I can hire the best trainer on the planet huh?  I hope my competition never finds out who you are. Any how I got to go thanks a million or in this case we hope 2 million.

Unless you've been totally avoiding self help literature, you've probably heard about shaping your destiny or creating your future, Gemini. That's what today's about: the emphasis is on creativity, not from the angle of inventing things, but using the creative process to re-program those parts of yourself that have been standing in your way. Expressing yourself through writing, music or art is a good way to go, but pay close attention to what you do: your work could possibly be filled with valuable insights that you might not have access to otherwise.
well I guess I better get to gettin'

After attending the boot camp in Columbus by OC with Rodney Webb, we have designated Dan Thoburn to create a training manual on the 10 point selling system in a teachable format.  Dan has an education degree and will be putting a "lesson plan" together for our company...WE ARE PUMPED.  Alot of work ahead of us and we look forward to reviewing a year form now with tangible and intangible results.

Practice is the answer!

Barry Parker- Mr. Fix-It

I recently attended a Gutter Helmet dealer get together in Florida. Each year, Gutter Helmet selects a sales trainer to help inspire the group for yet another successful year. Oh well. Another sales guru. Ho hum. Getting out the message in their own way, changing a word here and there and delivering the same boring message to sell, sell and sell.
That all changed for me last Thursday when Rodney Webb took the floor. Not only did he grab and hold my attention during his morning and afternoon sessions, he refocused my mission as a sales manager  by reminding me that the main purpose for having sales meetings is to sharpen my group's skills by a method known as "practice!" Sure it's nice to sit around during a company sales meeting and blow your horn about that big order you wrote last night. Well, what about the other leads you ran yesterday that you didn't sell?
I try and walk away with something positive to bring back to my sales team each year. Well, this year, the message is clear. The way to become successful in this business on a broad scale is to practice your sales skills. I mean practice! Role play at every meeting.  Keep sharpening your selling skills that will end up blowing away the competition. Keeping your customers happy so that they remain your customer for life!
Thank you Rodney Webb for a wakeup call.

Knowledge builds endlessly. That’s why Rodney’s ‘information-based’ sales training with its clear, teachable steps, yields performance that lasts. And, in the end, there’s nothing more ‘motivational’ than a quiet confidence in your own skill.

Rodney teaches that, at the foul line or the kitchen table, there’s only one way to develop this kind of “muscle memory”, and that’s drill. Rodney trains rookies and veterans alike how to build the right moves into their DNA.
